I said that the course would be difficult for me in my first reflection. We always had homeworks for this course, they were podcast, story jumper, storytelling, blog, twitter, facebook, gmail, pbwork etc. But, I think,  most difficult of them was writing reflection. As students who live in KYK, we do not have Internet connection so I could not publish my reflections in time. We went to simit sarayı or filiz patisserie to do our homework but these places were either crowded or we could not find a wall plug. But, we tried to puplish all of our homeworks in time except for reflections and we did.

When I compare my first lesson to last one, I notice that I have had more information about programs and what can be done usefully in internet world and what I can use in my education life, most important of them is that I have more conscious about technology.

I said that our teacher looked like a patient and understanding person in my first reflection, It was right. He tolerated our deficiency.

Finally, Thank him for his understanding 🙂

We talked about “podcast” in this week. We can listen any voice record later when we record it using podcast. Whatever you want to listen to later, you can use it easily. Its types are Authentic Podcast, Teacher, PodcastStudents, Podcast Educators Podcast.

We can find a lot of podcasts in the net and we can use these postcast to develop our listening skills. It also affects our speaking skills and we can improve our pronunciation thanks to it. I have recorded my voice using . It is my first record 😛 but we do not have internet in Kyk, it is difficult for me to do these homeworks 😛

The teacher talked about digital storytelling and story jumper. We can add videos, photos and voice records in digital storytelling. Young learners can look at the photos while they are listening to the story and they can also learn how the words are written at the same time.

Story Jumper is like digital storytelling. We can add text, photos but you can not add voice records. It can be said that it is a story book. Learners can read it by looking at the pictures. It can be enjoyable for young lerners 🙂

Our topic was Facebook and Twitter in nineth week. Firstly, it was talked about Skype and its past. There were chat rooms then and people used them to chat different peoples. First name of Skype was MSN. But now, it is Skype which is used for voice talk, video talk.

Today, more and more people are using Facebook for sharing something, communicating and they can also communicate with their old friends. Of course, it must be used consciously, otherwise; it can not be beneficial. For intance, you can waste your time.

You could not chat in Twitter but, you can follow your friends, celebritity people, the educational groups. I think, Twitter is higher quality than Facebook 😛

WiziQ was the topic of us in this week We don’t have to be face to face with WiziQ. We can communicate or work together at the same time and at different places. It is generally used for online conferencing all over the world.

When we are at the weekends or when we can not go to school because of some reasons, we can use it so we spend our time productively everytime, what a nice situation 😛

Our topic was online learning in this week. First of all, we have talked about . You can use it everywhere and everytim, it is limitless and we can see the number of people who use it and how much time they spend on this site. The second one is It’s not like a blog.

The studnets can especially develop their interaction skills thanks to online learning in their house, of course, if they have pc and internet connection 😉

”Prezi” was the topic of this week. Our teacher talked about media literacy which is a repertoire of competences that enable people to analyse, evaluate, and create messages in a wide variety of media modes, genres, and forms. Our main topic is prezi. What is Prezi?

Prezi is a presentation tool that helps you organize and share your ideas.

Chris Anderson who is TED Curator says that ” Prezi is helping reinvent the art of presentation. Farewell, one-dimensional thinking. Welcome instead the power of inter- connection, flexibility, and the unexpected ‘Aha!”

Let’s give up boring presentations and begin to use Prezi 😛
